Kristi Ylvisker began her art career as a student at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, where she majored in art and studied under Dean Bowman, Cy Running and Betty Strand.
After graduating from Concordia in 1964, she began graduate work in painting at the University of Iowa, where she studied under Eugene Ludins and Herbert Katzman for two years earning a Master’s of Art degree.
Kristi moved to New York City where she lived from 1967-71 and studied at Studio School under Milton Resnick from 1968-69.
